Moving blogs

Ok, although I posted here today, I am moving blogs.

Why? Many reasons. The name LazyBJJ doesn't feel right anymore,in fact it became a self fulfilling prophecy this year.

Also I have so many different things I want to blog about, it made it difficult to keep my thoughts together. So I started several blogs, and possibly more to come in the future.

So I have moved my main blog to:
http://samuel-wee.blogspot.com/

See? Straight away I updated all the different sites. Thats a good start.

I am still keeping this blog, but its retired. I enjoyed posting about the 80s shows, and also about turducken. So it stays here in limbo.

Damn, this blog still jams up, which is why I haven't been blogging (yeah right)

I guess I will just have to post some nonsense just to push the 80s youtube clips to another page. I don't want to delete it since I think it was a brilliant bit of memorabilia, but it jams up everything.

Here goes, pics of funny correspondence:

Damn that sucked. Can't get it to work properly, no matter how big I make the pictures. Click on them to read. They are funny, I promise you

Obama wins!

Change indeed! Congratulations to the US for a bold change. Fist bump!!

Although he lacks experience, I am sure the intelligent man that he is, he will surround himself with good people who do have the right experience.

However, I think some of his followers are going to be in for a shock

And cultish behaviour is never a good sign, and may only lead to disappointment. The bar is set too high for any mortal man to carry.

Back to blogging

Heh, I have 3 posts saved for my BJJ blog, and still reluctant to post them. This blog too has been stuck for the numerous youtube clips that is jamming up the site.

I thought I will post a post or two just to get that page into my archives for those of you with better internet connections than mine. Later.

Here is something I enjoyed

Memorable deaths in the 80s

What a way to kill the series, kill the main character, and replace them with less charismatic actors. Sure, we won't notice. Wonder why they didn't even continue after that season. *rolls eyes*

Stringfellow Hawke's death

Robin of Loxley's death

Can't find any clips when Catherine died in Beauty and The Beast.

Anyway, ever wondered where all the super vehicles went? Quite a few of them ended up here:

Cars of the Stars

Great battles from the 80s

More on the 80s. Remember all the great vs battles? These are originally in the series, not fanbased Youtube clips.

Airwolf vs Redwolf

Airwolf vs HX1

KITT vs KARR 2

KITT vs Goliath

Eye of Thundera vs Excalibur

Galtar's Golden Lance vs the Silver Sword

My memories of the 80s

Funny how looking back, I can't remember more than 15 friends from primary school. Heck, I avoid large high school gatherings (early 90s) because when I look at the attendance list, they're mostly strangers to me. However, these are what I remember clearly about the 80s.

Sad eh? Yet still brings a smile to my face. Enjoy:

My all time favourite, Airwolf. Best theme song ever.

Macgyver. Bought the biggest baddest swiss army knife I never used because of this show.

A-Team. Introduced me to WWF (Wrestlemania 1, Mr T & Hulk Hogan vs Roddy Piper & Mr Wonderful), which led me on to BJJ. Funny where these rabbit trails led me.

Automan. See how tight that costume was.

V....I remember the pallet guns in primary 2. I actually bought the first series on VHS.

Knight Rider, how can you not like the Hoff?

Streethawk. Loved the theme, loved the bike, can't remember how the actor looked like. Shows how much attention I paid to the show.

Hardcastle and McCormick, loved the song. Sad to say the Coyote looks lame by today's standards.

Greatest American Hero, every geeks dream

Misfits of Science with a young Courtney Cox. A short lived favourite. "Heroes" of yesteryear, but with no overall storyline.

Blue Thunder, the superhelicopter show before Airwolf. Hey, thats Hightower!!

Couldn't find The Wizard, where the hero is a midget who creates toys and fights crime. He committed suicide during the show I think. Cool theme song too.

Lastly, Robin of Sherwood. Haunting theme. Sucked when Sean Connery's son replaced the original Robin Hood

Here's one I am shy to admit I watched. But I did :(

I'm posting with a wide grin on my face. I guess 80s cartoons are next...

Transformers. The movie too was the best ever. I mean how many people can quote from the current movie?

M.A.S.K

Thundercats, IMO the best theme song of the 80s cartoons.

He-Man.

She-Ra. Can't not mention her after He-Man. I cried in the first He-Man She-Ra teamup.

Voltron. Introduced by Optimus.... nice...

Galtar and the Golden Lance

Defenders of the Earth. At least they were cooler on TV than the lame comics in the papers.

Thundarr the Barbarian

Gobots, the Transformers lame rival. Watched it anyway

Centurions... Power Extreme!.... Shit... *puts down hands*

Silverhawks. Didn't watch as many as I would like. TKD. Damn you Lau San!!

Dungeons and Dragons. TKD again

Visionaries, probably only watched 2 episodes. TKD really took up my Sunday afternoons.

My cartoon watching era probably stopped with the Ninja Turtles. Started playing sports seriously after that.

These were the ones I loved. Please don't ask me why no Care bears or Monchhichis. Definitely no My Little Pony. Please, I was a cool kid. I did watch Smurfs and Shirt Tails though.

I could go into sitcoms, but I think thats enough for now.
